The Special Forces Command (SFC) representatives and delegates have been sensitised on the benefits and operations of the Wazalendo SACCO during a meeting held yesterday at Umoja Hall, SFC Headquarters in Entebbe, Wakiso District.

The sensitisation meeting was led by Brigadier General Justus Rukundo the Chairperson of Supervisory Board Wazalendo SACCO and his team, who visited SFC to conduct a pilot study aimed at understanding the views and experiences of SACCO members and delegates within the force.
Speaking during the meeting, Brig Gen Rukundo said the study was intended to assess member satisfaction with loans, projects and services offered by Wazalendo SACCO, as well as identify areas that require improvement.
The exercise was conducted through questionnaires distributed to representatives, who answered questions related to SACCO policies, achievements, future prospects and challenges affecting service delivery.
Brig Gen Rukundo also explained the leadership structure of the SACCO, highlighting the roles of members of the Annual General Meeting (AGM), the management team, the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.
He thanked the soldiers for actively participating in the survey and encouraged them to continue supporting the SACCO.
During the sensitisation, Brig Gen Rukundo urged soldiers to make proper use of Wazalendo SACCO services in order to accumulate wealth and improve their financial stability.
He emphasised the importance of responsible loan management, noting that poor financial calculations and misuse of loans often lead to unnecessary expenditure and financial difficulties.

Meanwhile, Col. Moses Musinguzi, who also serves as the Director of Political Commissariat in SFC, encouraged soldiers to embrace a saving culture through Wazalendo SACCO.
Col Musinguzi said saving should be done strategically to help soldiers build capital for future investments and income-generating activities rather than merely fulfilling an obligation.
