Defence attachés accredited to Uganda visited the National Defence College – Uganda (NDC-U) in Njeru as part of a familiarisation tour of training institutions of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF).

Brig Gen Kefa Nangeso, Dean of Studies at NDC-U, on behalf of the Commandant, expressed gratitude to the representatives of the various countries for their support in military training and exchange programs.
He said that UPDF officers have greatly benefited from interactions with foreign counterparts during study tours, which are facilitated through the Defence Attachés.

Colonel Patrick Nkaduda, Defence Attaché of Kenya and Dean of the Defence Attachés Association in Uganda, said the visit aims to introduce foreign Military Attachés to UPDF training institutios, starting with NDC-U.
“It is important for Defence Attachés to understand the facilities available at UPDF schools so they can advise and assist their forces in cooperating with Uganda on professional military training,” he explained.

Among the NDC leadership attending the meeting was Brig Gen David Tweheyo, College Secretary.
The visiting team also toured the Senior Command and Staff College, the Legal Training Centre, and the Non-Commissioned Officers Academy, all located in Jinja City.
