The Commandant Military Police Brigade, Major General William Bainomugisha, has urged officers and militants of the Military Police Brigade to take their assignments with utmost seriousness at all times.
He made the remarks today while officiating at the pass-out of 221 soldiers who completed a two-week refresher training at Buyala, Nsujju Mporwe in Mpigi District. The training covered key areas including VVIP protection, checkpoint operations, public order management, tactical operations terrain modelling, physical fitness, and combat karate.
“We must be extremely serious with the assignments given to us. The ranks you wear on your shoulders are not for decoration; they are a symbol of responsibility in the execution of your duties,” said Maj Gen Bainomugisha.

The Brigade Operations and Training Officer, Colonel Sylvia Meeme, commended the Commandant for consistently creating training opportunities that aim to improve performance.
She applauded the officers and militants for their achievements within a short period and encouraged them to embrace such opportunities with a positive attitude.
“You have achieved a lot in a short time. I urge you to take up such opportunities with morale and positivity because they are important in your day-to-day professional lives,” she said.
Present were senior and junior officers.
