The Commandant National Defence College – Uganda (NDC-U), Major General Francis Okello underscored the importance of the visit from the National Defence College – Kenya (NDC-K) as a vote of confidence and recognition in the National Defence College – Uganda.
“As a young institution, we are energized by this visit and cooperation and we look forward to more engagements,” said Maj Gen Okello.
A delegation of nineteen (19) course members and staff from the National Defence College – Kenya (NDC-K) paid a courtesy visit to the National Defence College – Uganda (NDC-U) at Njeru Buikwe district.
He informed the visiting delegation that, NDC-U currently runs two courses; an NDC Certificate and a Masters’ Degree program in partnership with Makerere University and is in the process of progressing into a National Defence University.
The head of the delegation and Senior Directing Staff-Army at NDC-K, Maj Gen Steven James Mutuku said they are in Uganda on a week-long study tour.
Present were the NDC-U College Secretary Brig Gen David Tweheyo, Kenya Defence Attaché to Uganda Col Patrick Nkududa, NDC-U College Coordinator Col John Siyareta, Director of Studies NDC-U Prof Mulindwa Rutanga and Staff Officers from NDC-U.
