The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has passed out 62 soldiers who completed a two-month Oracle Level 4 Kit Operator and End User Course, at the Land Forces Headquarters in Bombo.

The Chief of Staff – Land Force, Brigadier Chris Bagonza, congratulated the graduates for their commitment and thanked the instructors for their dedication to ensuring the success of the course.
“This training will enhance the institution and the nation at large with vital skills. The UPDF needs a skilled force to support operations effectively,” Brig Bagonza said.
He further echoed the guidance of the Commander-in-Chief, Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, emphasizing that continuous training remains critical in maintaining a modern, professional army.
He urged the graduates to maintain the discipline they demonstrated during training and to apply their new knowledge in their respective units. “The skills you have acquired should translate into real performance. Share what you have learned and inspire others,” he advised.

Brigadier Ephraim Baguma Mugume, the Joint Staff Management Information Systems, highlighted the importance of integrating military drills into technical training. He said drills help build patience and discipline among soldiers, key attributes for professional conduct.
The Head of Training, Maj Shaluwah Ddegeya, commended the trainees and instructors for their hard work. She outlined key topics covered during the course, including strength management, records management, pension management systems, payroll and SACCO entries, systems security, maintenance, and the use of Management Information System (MIS) kits.
