Major General Deus Sande, Commander of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) Armoured Division, has applauded Colonel Vincent Bagambaki for his discipline, professionalism, and exemplary leadership throughout his military service.
Maj Gen Sande delivered the remarks during a formal handover ceremony in which Col Bagambaki officially handed over office as Division Administrative Officer to Colonel David Kiirya, ahead of his retirement later this year.
He described Col Bagambaki as a role model and encouraged him to remain a proud ambassador of the UPDF in civilian life. He urged younger officers to draw inspiration from Bagambaki’s dedication by maintaining discipline, staying focused, and remaining committed to their responsibilities.
Col Bagambaki began his military career in 1985 as a young recruit. Over the years, he served in several key units, including the Presidential Protection Unit, now Special Forces Command, the Engineers Brigade, and most recently, as Administrative Officer in the Armoured Division.
In his farewell remarks, Col Bagambaki expressed deep appreciation to the UPDF leadership for the opportunity to serve with honour and dedication. He extended his gratitude to fellow officers and troops for the support and camaraderie throughout his service.
The ceremony was attended by Col Griffins Katinti, other senior and junior officers, and troops of the Armoured Division.
