The Chief of Joint Staff of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), Lieutenant General Jack Bakasumba, has inspected drill preparations by the 4 Infantry Division ahead of the upcoming Chief of Defence Force Inter-Forces Drill Competition.
During the visit, Lt Gen Bakasumba expressed satisfaction with the level of discipline and coordination exhibited by the troops.
He commended participants for their precision in executing drill movements, noting that such standards reflect the strength and operational preparedness of the UPDF.
“Excellence in training comes from passion and commitment,” he said, and urged the troops to remain focused and continue refining their skills ahead of the competition.
Lt Gen Bakasumba was accompanied by senior training officials, including the Director of Training for the Land Force, Col Dothan Kavuma, and Lt Col Wantimba of the Air Force.
The inspection was attended by staff officers and department heads.
