The Chief of General Staff of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA), Major General Zépherin Mamadou, met with Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, at the Special Forces Command headquarters in Entebbe.

During the meeting, Major General Mamadou highlighted the crucial role of UPDF support under the ongoing military cooperation agreement. He stated that the training provided across specialized, junior, and senior leadership levels has enabled FACA to fill command gaps and rebuild its military capacity. This progress, he noted, contributed to organizing the country’s recent elections in a smooth security environment.

The visiting military leader also conveyed regards from Central African Republic President H.E. Faustin-Archange Touadéra and the nation’s Ministry of Defence, thanking General Kainerugaba for the invitation.
General Kainerugaba welcomed Major General Mamadou and assured him of the UPDF’s continued pan-African spirit and commitment to supporting FACA through capacity-building initiatives.
The visit included plans for the CAR military chief to attend Uganda’s 45th Tarehe Sita celebrations.
