The Military Police has called on its officers and militants to demonstrate loyalty, hard work, and discipline as they prepare to secure examination materials for the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
Maj Gen William Bainomugisha, Commandant of the Military Police, addressed 490 officers and militants at Nsujju Mporwe Barracks in Mpigi District, emphasising the importance of professionalism during the national exams.
“The best weapon of a soldier is his brain,” Maj Gen Bainomugisha said, urging personnel to act wisely and tactically while safeguarding the examination materials.
While speaking at Buyala Barracks, the General cautioned against prioritising personal wealth over duty. “Put the country first and money later,” he said, calling on officers and militants to serve diligently and avoid extravagant lifestyles.

The Deputy Commandant, Brig Gen Christopher Columbus Tumwiine reminded troops to act as role models, maintain accountability, and preserve the integrity of the Military Police. He also instructed personnel to stay alert, courteous, and focused on their duties, avoiding political involvement or festive distractions.

Col Sylvia Meeme, the Brigade Operations and Training Officer, urged officers and militants to approach the task with fairness, flexibility, and observe professionalism.
Military Police will reinforce the Uganda Police Force in providing security for the transportation of examination material to storage facilities across the country. The Military Police will then secure the storage facilities and relinquish their core responsibility once the responsible officials sign out the examination materials from the facilities.
