The Commandant Military Police Brigade, Major General William Bainomugisha, has commended the dependability and discipline of Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces Military Police troops.
This was during the pass-out ceremony of soldiers who completed an eight-week Team Leaders Training Course at Buyala Nsujju Mporwe Barracks in Mpigi District.
Maj Gen Bainomugisha praised their resilience throughout the course, noting military training. He urged the soldiers to continue embracing training opportunities, describing them as the foundation of loyalty, obedience, and reliability in a soldier’s life.
“Just as a doctor cannot qualify without practical lessons, a soldier cannot be dependable without continuous training,” Maj Gen Bainomugisha said.
He encouraged the newly qualified team leaders to share their knowledge with subordinates to enhance unit performance and avoid selfishness, emphasising that the army thrives on teamwork.
Colonel Sylvia Meeme, the Brigade Operations and Training Officer, congratulated the officers for their endurance and commitment. She reminded them that training remains central to the Military Police ethos.
“In the Military Police, training is our gospel, it is what shapes us into a multi-purpose and dependable force,” Col Meeme said.
The ceremony was attended by Battalion Commanders, heads of departments, and senior officers from the Military Police Brigade.
