Appointments And Promotions

The President of the Republic of Uganda and Commander in Chief of the UPDF has appointed and promoted the following General and senior officers as follows:

 

  1. Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi appointed minister of state for trade in the ministry of trade and cooperatives.
  2. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba appointed the Chief of Defence Forces
  3. Lt Gen Peter Elwelu appointed Senior Presidential Advisor
  4. Lt Gen Samuel Okiding appointed Deputy Chief of Defence Forces
  5. Maj Gen Leopold Eric Kyanda appointed Defence attaché
  6. Maj Gen Jackson Bakasumba appointed Joint Chief of Staff
  7. Brig Gen David Mugisha promoted to major General
  8. Col Asaph Nyakyikuru promoted to Brigadier General

 

The UPDF fraternity Congratulates the General officers for the new appointments and well-deserved promotions and wish them good luck in their new assignments and ranks.
