The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has extended goodwill gifts to the Muslim community in Kampala to mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The CDF’s gifts were delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Emmanuel Rutemba—Head of Civil-Military Cooperation in the office of the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations.
The gifts included assorted food items to the congregation led by Sheikh Mbogo.
The contribution was made in response to a request from Sheikh Mbogo’s community. In his message, Gen. Kainerugaba congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the fasting period and wished them continued good health and blessings on the occasion of Idd El Fitr.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the community, Sheikh Mbogo expressed his gratitude to the CDF.
The Muslim cleric lauded Gen. Kainerugaba’s leadership and acknowledged his generous response to their appeal, which will support the community during the celebrations.
