UPDF RECRUITMENT 2026 –PHYSICAL RECRUITMENT (10–22 AUGUST)

 

Kampala, Uganda. The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) informs the public that Phase Three – Physical Recruitment under the General Recruitment Exercise 2026 will commence on 10 August 2026 and conclude on 22 August 2026.

Only shortlisted candidates are required to report to the designated centers in the district where their names appear on the shortlist, as per the attached recruitment schedule. They must come prepared with the following:

      1. Handwritten application addressed to the Joint Staff Human Resource Management – UPDF.
      2. Recommendations from LCI, III and GISO/DISO.
      3. Three (03) coloured passport-size photographs.
      4. Original National Identity Cards.
      5. Original and Photocopies of academic documents (graduate documents must be certified).

Successful candidates will be given individual dates to report to respective UPDF training centers.

Recruitment into the UPDF is free of charge. No agents or intermediaries are involved. Any cases of fraud must be reported immediately to the nearest Police Station, DISO’s office, or UPDF unit.
