Maj Gen Kyanda Commends Outgoing Chief Of Personnel And Administration

The UPDF Joint Chief of Staff (JCOS) Maj Gen Leopold Kyanda has today expressed his gratitude for the tremendous work done by the Outgoing Chief of Personnel and Administration (CPA) in improving the Chieftaincy.

 

This was contained in a speech read by the Air Force Chief of Staff Brig Gen David Gonyi as he presided over the Hand/Take Over of the office of Chief of Personnel and Administration from Brig Gen Ssenkumba Eugene Ssebugwawo to Brig Gen James Kinalwa, on behalf of the JCOS.

 

This happened at the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs headquarters in Kampala. ” I thank you for the hard work, enforcing discipline and making strides to improve the welfare of soldiers,” noted Maj Gen Kyanda.

 

In his remarks, the Outgoing CPA Brig Gen Ssebugwawo thanked the UPDF leadership for allowing him to serve his country at a strategic level.

 

He, however, noted that there should be a deliberate continuous improvement in the welfare of troops to match the changing global market demands.

 

In his acceptance speech, Brig Kinalwa applauded the President and Commander in Chief of the UPDF H.E Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for entrusting him with the opportunity to serve in another capacity.

 

He pledged to serve with honor and promised cooperation and consultation.

 

The Hand/Take over was also attended by the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs Human Resource Commissioner Mr. Cox Anguzu, Director Carrier Planning Brig Gen Bossa, Director Estates Brig Nabeta, Director Women Affairs Col Betty Musoya, and Civilian Staff, among others.
