UPDF Col D Rwangoga And J Tagaswire Scoop PhDs At International University

Two senior officers of Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) have been awarded Doctoral Degrees in Diplomacy and International Relations at EUCLID International University in the Gambia. Col Davis Rwangoga attached to the National Defence University Uganda and Maj John Tagaswire of NBC Lugazi Engineers College have been pursuing studies in diplomacy and international relations for four years.

 

UPDF has been encouraging postgraduate studies among its ranks and file. A number of UPDF personnel currently are pursuing bachelor’s degrees and masters at National Defence College, Senior Command and Staff College -Kimaka, Uganda Military Academy-Kabamba from Makerere University and Forensic University – Uganda branch offered by India.

 

Chaired by the Chief Political Commissar (CPC) Maj General Henry Masiko, the UPDF Education Implementation Committee encourages deserving and competent soldiers to pursue courses in various disciplines and improve themselves for efficiency in their careers.

 

Today, Doctoral Degrees are Becoming famous among UPDF scholars as part of a fulfillment of the virtue of self-improvement during the soldier’s career.
