Ugandan Peacekeeping Centre Strengthens Ties With US Army War College

The International Peace Support Operations Training Centre (IPSO-TC) in Singo, Nakaseke District, has today hosted a delegation from the US Army War College.

The visit is part of the delegation’s study tour, aimed to foster professional exchange and enhance cooperation in peace support operations.

IPSO-TC Commandant, Col Moses Nabaasa, welcomed the delegation, highlighting the centre’s critical role in preparing military personnel for complex peace support missions.

“The Centre is committed to excellence, regional stability, and international collaboration,” Col Nabaasa said.

Chief Instructor Col David Wataasa delivered a comprehensive briefing on the centre’s training programs and shared key lessons from peace support operations in Somalia.

The head of the US Army War College team, Col Ronald Miller, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and valuable knowledge shared.

“We commend IPSO-TC for its professionalism and significant contribution to global peacekeeping efforts,” he said.

As a token of appreciation, Col Nabaasa presented a commemorative gift to Col Miller, strengthening ties between the two institutions.

The visit underscores the importance of collaboration between IPSO-TC and the US Army War College in promoting peace, security, and shared learning in peace support operations.
