Brigadier General Wilberforce Sserunkuma, Commander of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) 3 Infantry Division, has officially dispatched troops to represent the division in the upcoming Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Drill Competition.
The national event, set to begin on 13 May 2025, will feature preliminary rounds at Bombo’s Land Force Headquarters before concluding with finals at Kololo Airstrip in Kampala.
During Saturday’s flag-off ceremony at Moroto Army Barracks, Brig Gen Sserunkuma praised the contingent led by Major Robert Nzerebende for their exemplary discipline and rigorous preparation.
Senior officers in attendance included Colonel Allan Kyangungu (Deputy Division Commander), Colonel Joseph Patrick Ocen (Commander, 106 Artillery Brigade), and Colonel Richard Butungi (Division Administrative Officer), alongside other ranking personnel.
