The donation to the Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisation (SACCO) happened at the Directorate of Veterans Affairs headquarters at Postel Building in Kampala.
In her remarks while handing over the motorcycle to the chairperson of the SACCO Namuwonge Sylvia, Hon. Oleru applauded widows for their tireless efforts in resettling into civilian life. “Women are highly trustworthy in terms of savings, borrowing, investing and paying off loans,” Hon. Oleru added.
She however, urged them to use the motorcycle for mobilization and monitoring of their SACCO activities and not for boda boda business.
