Maj Gen Ssemwanga Commends Progress Of Infrastructure Works In 4 Infantry Division

The Deputy Commander Land Force, Maj Gen Joseph Ssemwanga, has commended the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects within the 4 Infantry Division, describing them as a significant milestone for the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF).

The projects inspected included a housing unit in Moyo, newly constructed sanitation facilities at 101 Battalion, a water tank, and a newly built officers’ mess at Lumumba Triangle.

During an inspection tour of various construction sites in Moyo, and the Division Headquarters, Maj Gen Ssemwanga expressed satisfaction with both the quality and pace of the works.

Maj Gen Ssemwanga said the developments reflect the UPDF’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of its personnel while strengthening operational effectiveness across the force.

He said that investment in infrastructure remains key to improving accommodation, enhancing working conditions, and supporting overall military efficiency.

The inspection was attended by members of the Division Construction Committee, including the Deputy Division Commander, Col Richard Kidega, alongside representatives from the administration, finance, and engineering departments.
