The symposium brought together 55 officers currently enrolled in the Squadron Officers Course. Sessions covered a wide range of topics including Uganda’s military history, ideological development in the UPDF, geopolitics, political economy, critical thinking, mental health, and financial planning.
Closing the symposium, the Commandant of the Uganda Air Force College, Brig Gen James Muhwezi, urged the officers to apply the knowledge gained in their service. “You are the future leaders of the force. Serve diligently and lead by example,” he said.
Col Anatoli Nuwagira, Director of the Political Commissariat – Air Force, commended the facilitators from Joint Staff Headquarters and Land Forces Headquarters.
He reiterated the Air Force’s commitment to ideological orientation for all officers and airmen, highlighting the importance of a disciplined and ideologically grounded force.
The symposium marks a major milestone as the officers near the completion of their six-month Squadron Officers Course.
