Military Police Trainees Urged To Uphold Discipline And Duty

The Commandant Military Police Brigade in the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces, Brig Gen William Beinomugisha, has today called on trainees to cultivate a sense of duty, hard work, and prioritize their health while executing their assigned duties.

Brigadier Beinomugisha made the remarks during the closing ceremony of a two-month Pre-Level III course at Buyala Barracks in Nsujju Mporwe, Mpigi District.

The course aimed to equip soldiers with essential skills in Public Order Management, Military Duties, Political Education, Drills, Physical Training, Military Law, International Humanitarian Law, and First Aid.

The Commandant emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and maintaining good health to sustain the peace Uganda has enjoyed for over 30 years.

“You have demonstrated your capabilities, and more courses await you. That’s why we are molding you in all aspects to ensure the journey becomes easier,” Brigadier General Beinomugisha said, urging the trainees to implement the knowledge and skills they have acquired.

The Training and Doctrine representative, Colonel Susan Lakot, congratulated the trainees on their resilience and endurance, welcoming them to the Military Police as the custodian of discipline, loyalty, and unity. “Training is a continuous process; carry the values you’ve learned and have endurance,” she advised.

The ceremony was attended by senior and junior officers, Uganda Police representatives, local leaders, and militants from various Military Police units.
