Prime Minister Stresses Importance of Ideological Training for Leaders

The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has underscored the importance of ideological training in mentoring regional and national leaders at all levels.

She made the remarks today during a lecture delivered to youth and women leaders from Greater Masaka who are attending an ideological empowerment retreat at Sacred Hearts Primary School, Kyamusansala in Kalungu District.

Rt. Hon. Nabbanja urged the leaders to embrace patriotism, emphasizing that “the love of the country is enshrined in the constitution” and that citizens must remain loyal to Uganda and uphold its well-being.

“Uganda is known as the Pearl of Africa because of its beauty and abundant natural resources,” she reminded the attendees, stressing that they have a duty to protect the country.

The Prime Minister called on the leaders to put into practice the values and ideals they have learned throughout the retreat.

She expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs/Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces leadership for organising the ideological retreat.
