CDF Appoints New UPDF Chief Of Staff Land Force, Deputy Joint Staff Chief Political Commissar

The Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has appointed Brigadier General Chris Bagonza as the new UPDF Chief of Staff of the Land Force (COS LF) with Headquarters in Bombo.

Brigadier General Bagonza was hitherto the Deputy Joint Staff Human Resource Management at the Joint UPDF Services Headquarter in Mbuya serving under Brigadier General Jimmy Kinalwa. He replaces Brigadier General Micheal Kabango who was recently appointed the new Commandant of the Senior Command and Staff College Kimaka in Jinja.

In a related communication, the CDF also appointed Colonel Nelson Ahebwa as the Deputy Joint Staff Chief Political Commissar of the UPDF currently headed by Major General Henry Masiko.

The appointments take immediate effect.

The UPDF fraternity congratulates the General and senior officers upon their well-deserved appointments and wishes them good luck in their duties.
