Additional Recruitment Into The UPDF

The UPDF is hereby announcing further recruitment into the UPDF in addition to the just ended recruitment of S.4 leavers. Age limit 18-28 years.

The categories to be recruited are hereunder:

  1. UACE (S.6) Science based combinations with at least a principal pass in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Geography, plus subsidiaries
  2. PEM
  3. PCM
  4. PCB
  5. BCM
  6. MEG

Degrees or Diplomas in:

  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Telecommunications Engineering
  3. Automotive Engineering
  4. Computer Engineering
  5. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
  6. Electronic Engineering
  7. Cyber Security
  8. Computer Forensics
  9. Computer Science
  10. Aero Space

Certificates:

  1. Masons
  2. Electricians
  3. Painters
  4. Specialized fabricators
  5. Carpenters
  6. Heavy Engineering Equipment Operators
  7. Heavy Engineering Equipment Mechanics

The applications will be done on the UPDF website:  www.updf.go.ug/careers/ and will last 14 days effective today, 19th June up to 3rd July.

From 4th July up to 10th July the applications will be scrutinized and uploaded on the website for successful applications.

From 11th July to 14 July, the successful applicants will be uploaded on the website.

The candidates that will find their names on the website will report to the Land Forces Headquarters in Bombo for screening on the 15th of July. The screening includes medical and physical fitness tests. The screening exercise will take place from 15th July 2024.

The successful applicants must report to Bombo with the following;

  1. National Identity card.
  2. Letters from LCI and LCII Chairpersons, GISO and DISO.

NB: No money is required in this process. Recruitment into the UPDF is FREE
