He said the training would prepare the personnel to accomplish their assigned tasks, test their physical endurance, sharpen their minds and build character.
“Pre-mission training is not a picnic. You are here to train for peacekeeping missions,” Col Nabaasa told the trainees.
He urged the personnel to maintain discipline throughout the training and avoid habits that could undermine their readiness, including excessive alcohol consumption.
Col Nabaasa encouraged the trainees to remain focused on learning and make the most of the training to prepare themselves for the responsibilities ahead.
He also emphasised the importance of maintaining good physical, mental and emotional health, saying overall fitness is essential for effective performance during peace support operations.
The training was attended by the Chief Instructor, Lt Col Morris Kimuku, senior and junior officers, among others.
