The visit aimed to reinforce coordination between Uganda’s military and diplomatic missions as part of broader efforts to advance peace and stability in the region.
Ambassador Mugisha praised the professionalism and dedication of Ugandan troops and commended their vital role in national and regional stabilisation. He emphasised that the mission reflects the ideals of Pan-Africanism and highlighted the enduring value of peacebuilding in the Horn of Africa. “The mission aligns with the ideals of Pan-Africanism,” he said, “and we remain committed to supporting UPDF operations in Somalia.”
