Brig Gen Bagonza commended both the outgoing and incoming officers for their service and dedication to the UPDF, noting that leadership transitions are a normal part of institutional continuity. He urged officers to remain focused on their duties and uphold professionalism.
“There is no Alpha and Omega in this office. Another person can always come and continue with the work that has been done; therefore, nobody should think they are irreplaceable,” Brig Gen Bagonza said, and encouraged the incoming director to execute his responsibilities with commitment and professionalism.
In his remarks, Brig Gen Mutawe expressed appreciation to the Chief Joint Staff Land Forces and the various departments for their support during his tenure. He encouraged his successor to follow up on ongoing projects closely and wished him success in his new assignment.
Present were directors and heads of departments within the Land Force Headquarters.
