The Commandant Military Police, Brigadier General William Bainomugisha has tasked Military Police personnel to always perform their duties and responsibilities with a high level of professionalism even when dealing with the civilian population as this is the only way they will exhibit a good example to the civilian population.
Brig Gen Bainomugisha was speaking at the closure of a two-week leadership workshop for Military Police Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers.
He urged them that discipline and being exemplary should be paramount in their daily lives and in the execution of their duties of enforcing discipline in the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces.
Col Musenene the Military Police Brigade Operations and Training Officer said the workshop has enhanced cohesion between the command and staff, bridged the gaps and improved the discipline amongst the Military Police personnel.
Lt Col R Ochieng on behalf of the participants said that the workshop has equipped them with the knowledge and skills that shall assist them during the execution of their duties.
In attendance, Commanding Officers of units under the Military Police, Heads of Departments and Regimental Sergeant Majors.
