The 3 Division Deputy Commander of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), Brigadier General Felix Busizoori has today inspected the progress of the ongoing construction works for housing units at 403Bde HQ, based at Matanyi Sub-County, Napak District.
“I am pleased with the works progress and its completion shall meet the intended objectives,” said Brig Gen Busizoori.
The site engineer, Major Kizito Mulwana who also doubles as the Regiment Commander (RCO) for 3 Construction Regiment noted that the work covered is rated at 90% and near completion.
At the project site, 6 blocks each with 4 self-contained housing units were constructed and completed by Special Forces Command (SFC) Civil Engineering Regiment, while the ongoing construction of 9 blocks each with 4 self-contained housing units are being undertaken by 3 Construction Regiment which near completion.
The construction project which commenced in June 2022 is an initiative by UPDF strategic leadership to address the accommodation challenge in the force.
During the periodic inspection, the 3 Division Deputy Commander was accompanied by the Brigade Commander and key staff officers.
