Launch Of UPDF Establishment

On Saturday, the 17 February 2024, H.E the President and Commander-in-Chief launched the UPDF establishment. He duly handed it over to the CDF, who has delegated authority to command the force on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief.

The Establishment is a Doctrinal Publication and is a copyright and intellectual property of the UPDF.

It is a fundamental expression of the UPDF vision to transform into a modern Professional, Effective, Efficient and Accountable force anchored on a strong civil-military partnership and capable of effectively and efficiently undertaking its mission.

It aims at strengthening the existing structures and also define new structural arrangements, roles, responsibilities and functions.

The establishment streamlines reporting mechanisms, rationale for recruitment and effective personnel management.

It’s a blueprint for organizational effectiveness and operational prowess.
