On Saturday 25 March 2023, at around 10:00 am UPDF Operation Force of 2 Mountain Battalion came into contact with the ADF terrorists at coordinates N00.29.49.6 E029.40.19.4 in the South West Direction of Lusulube.
During contact, 22 ADF terrorists were killed and the following charged from them; 4 SMG’s, 313 SMG rounds, 189PK rounds, 5 empty magazines, 5 Walkie Talkie Radios with their charger pots, 8 solar panels and 5 solar batteries, 11 pieces of Quran, 9 phones, 2 UPDF and 8 FARDC uniform shirts, 3 FARDC back packs and 2 ponchos.
One UPDF soldier RA/234770 Pte Yasir Yasin was killed in action. We commiserate with his family and may his soul Rest In eternal Peace.
