Six Rescued As Joint UPDF And FARDC Forces Put Out Of Action One Rebel, Recover Weapons In Ongoing Operations In Mwalika Valley

The ongoing joint operations by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) in the general areas of Mwalika Valley were on 10th August 2023 able to rescue three women and three children and put of action one Allied Democratic Forces rebel.

 

The joint forces further recovered 204 rounds of PMK Machine gun, 41 rounds of Sub-Machine Gun and 03 empty magazines.

 

The joint forces under the command of Maj Chombe are still combing the Valley of Mwalika, North Kivu Province the Eastern DR Congo.

 

Arrangements have already been made to evacuate the rescued.
