Brig Gen Kajuba Takes Over as UPDF Armoured Division Deputy Commander

The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) Armoured Division has welcomed a new Deputy Commander following the official handover from Col Griffins Kantinti to Brig Gen P K Kajuba.

The ceremony took place at the Division Headquarters in Masaka and was presided over by the Armoured Division Commander, Maj Gen Deus Sande. He praised both officers for their service and dedication to the force. “I congratulate Brig Gen Kajuba on this new appointment and thank Col Kantinti for his exemplary leadership,” said Maj Gen Sande, emphasising the importance of unity and cooperation at all levels of command.

Col Kantinti, who is departing to undertake a senior military course, expressed appreciation to the UPDF leadership, the Armoured Division Commander, and the troops he led.

In his parting message, he underscored the need for discipline, heightened personal security in the lead-up to the political season, and strong teamwork within the ranks.

The handover ceremony was attended by senior and junior officers, as well as other personnel of the Armoured Division.
