Lt Gen Kavuma Commends WIL On Quality Road Construction And Community Engagement

The Chairman Board of Directors of Wazalendo SACCO, Lieutenant General Sam Kavuma, has commended Wazalendo Investments Ltd (WIL) for its commitment to quality service delivery, timely project execution and engagement with local communities.

Lt Gen Kavuma made the remarks while inspecting ongoing road construction projects undertaken by WIL in Kampala and Wakiso districts.

Lt Gen Kavuma who was accompanied by the WIL Managing Director, Lieutenant Colonel Wesley Aine inspected construction works on Lugoba and Kazo roads in Nansana, as well as Nakayenga and Kibutika roads in Makindye-Ssabagabo.

Lt Gen Kavuma emphasised that WIL was established as the business arm of Wazalendo SACCO, with the strategic responsibility of generating sustainable value for SACCO members.

“WIL has a critical role to play in creating sustainable value for our membership. The Board will continue providing the necessary support and guidance to enable the company to achieve its strategic objectives,” Lt Gen Kavuma said.

He appreciated the cooperation and partnership of communities in areas where WIL operates, noting that meaningful engagement between institutions and the public is essential for successful project implementation and sustainable development.

Lt Col Aine thanked the Wazalendo SACCO Board for its continued guidance and support to WIL.

He urged staff to remain focused, professional and committed to excellence, noting that their daily efforts contribute directly to the growth and sustainability of Wazalendo SACCO.

Local council leaders in the areas visited called for continued opportunities for the company to undertake public infrastructure projects.
