The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) Armoured Division has extended support to the girls’ netball team of Kaddugala Secondary School to facilitate their participation in an upcoming national competition in Gulu.
The donation was delivered on behalf of the Armoured Division Commander, Brigadier General Pande Kajuba, by the Division Public Information Officer, Lieutenant Teddy Anena.
Lt Anena urged the students to prioritise education, describing it as the foundation for future success. She encouraged the girls to remain focused on their studies, avoid practices that could lead to school dropout, including early pregnancy, and maintain good health as they pursue both academic and sporting excellence.
The Headteacher, Mr Yahaya Sengabi, expressed appreciation to the UPDF for its continued support to the community.
He observed that relations between civilians and the military have significantly improved over the years, strengthening civil-military cooperation for the benefit of the country.
The event was attended by the Armoured Division Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Officer, Lieutenant Peter Mucwa, the Armoured Division Sports Officer, school administrators, teachers, and students.
