The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, held a meeting this afternoon with a delegation from China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (NORINCO), led by Mr. Liang Hongda, General Manager of the African and American Department.
The meeting took place at the Special Forces Headquarters in Entebbe.
During the meeting, both sides reflected on their 38-year-long strategic relationship, which began in 1986.
Gen Kainerugaba, also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, congratulated NORINCO on its position as the largest aerospace and defence company in the world, with an annual revenue exceeding 82 billion dollars.
The Chinese delegation extended an invitation for the Ugandan General to visit China, his last visit being 14 years ago.
The meeting was also attended by Brig Gen Dan Kakono, Commander of the UPDF Artillery Division.
