Noting that the relationship between Uganda and Ethiopia was forged long ago by shared history, the CDF observed that both nations serve as regional anchors. He pointed to their early coordination in liberation struggles and their vital contributions to African Union peace missions, particularly in Somalia, as indicators of this bond.

She expressed sincere gratitude to the CDF for accommodating the request for the meeting at short notice and extended her appreciation for the support rendered during the Adwa celebrations in Kololo earlier this year. She emphasized that the gesture reflects the deep-rooted relationship between the two nations. Additionally, the Ambassador briefed the CDF on the successful conclusion of the recent Ethiopian elections, conveying her thanks to H.E. the President of Uganda and the Government of Uganda for their congratulatory message.
